Just wanted to quickly say that I've arrived in NY, where it is hotter than Hades at the moment, but otherwise bueno. To those of you who looked at me like I was nuts when I told you I was taking the train...yes well, a day and a half late is not so bad considering that many other rail travelers were several days behind their itineraries (!!) New York state is quite a bit more scenic than I'd imagined, can't wait to see more of it. Anyway, my new info is:
